Actimize Developer for Supervision and Surveillance
Description
As an Actimize
Developer you will be responsible for supporting existing solutions as well as
leveraging the Actimize self-development tool kit to build solutions for our
users. Developing these solutions requires technical skills to build
solutions within a vendor package as well as a keen ability to grasp business
requirements. Prior experience with vendor package development is highly
desired.
The individual
in this role will need to collaborate with business analysts and developers to
analyze business requirements and review/produce technical specifications for
any new/change to Actimize. You will be responsible for technical design,
coding, unit testing and technical documentation of the chosen solutions.
The analysis should include a data impact or process perspective during design
reviews.
You will also
assist the Project Management team to ensure that requirements documentation
can be easily translated into test plans. You will collaborate with the
testing team to ensure proper testing plans can be completed; system
integration test scripts are prepared, and test results correspond to
business expectations.
You will also be expected to gain a deep understanding of the Actimize over-night batch process. You will be a key member of a team responsible for monitoring the batch, performing initial troubleshooting, identifying the proper escalation path, as well as stopping and starting jobs. In this role you will also be expected to identify, recommend and implement solutions to improve monitoring and running of the batch process.
Qualifications
This is a role
that requires strong self-initiative combined with a solution minded
talent. The Actimize Developer qualifications include:
- Prior development experience is required
- Prior experience with package solutions is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to understand vendor package limitations and identify the best solution
- Ability to articulate & translate business requirements into a vendor package solution
- Experience working with developers to analyze requirements, providing technical expertise and demonstrating knowledge within the context of a vendor solution
- Prior Production support experience is desired. Minimum five years of relevant work experience
- Experience setting up test scenarios
- Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with the company's products and services
- Financial services industry knowledge and experience is required
- Line of Business experience a plus
