Job description:
Key Objectives:
  • Perform application administration duties, such as:
  • End User administration (processing new users, terminations and transfers)
  • Remote Administration
  • Monitor system availability
  • Data administration (list of values, pre­defined queries, Samples, etc.)
  • Product Administration
  • Document & literature Administration
  • Monitoring Scheduled jobs/tasks
  • Ad­hoc reporting
  • Monitoring escalated service requests and process accordingly to SOPs
  • Create documentation (SOPs) and maintain documentation per standards
  • Tracks application enhancements including, but not limited to, bug fixes, change requests, and regression
  • testing for Application Maintenance with clients
  • Track and perform quality assurance processes for production and administration tasks
  • Administers all project work related to the Application Environment, including but not limited to ad­hoc data
  • loads, queries, administration and the coordination of configuration releases
  • Administers production schedules and activities relating to routine data feeds into the production and test
  • databases (i.e.: 3rd party data, legacy system data, etc.)
  • Supervises queue of escalations from the Tier I helpdesk for supported Application related issues
  • Performs ad hoc Admin levels tasks including but not limited to: User Changes, Meta Data Changes and
  • System enhancements
  • Provides proactive monitoring and issue detection to ensure system quality and stability
  • Understand business requirements for key performance indicators and translate these into the design of new
  • reports with underlying analysis
  • Manage projects to develop solutions for obtaining business intelligence from company systems and external
  • data sources
  • Shape ad hoc analysis requirements to balance client objectives and data constraints
  • Deliver analysis reports in a logical manner, in a way that clearly and concisely draws out the key findings,
  • and provides recommendations for client interpretation
  • Develop and maintain the processes required to produce regular client KPIs and support their production
  • and any subsequent “ drill down” analysis required
  • Management of own time, drawing up logical plans for activities ensuring sensible timescales are devised,
  • communicated and met
  • Produce appropriate KPI trackers for clients and internal customers. These need to be produced on time and to
  • the specification agreed by relevant business unit
  • Creates reporting systems to monitor business performance ensuring relevance, quality and accuracy
  • Creative approach to problem solving and ability to take a fresh look at established procedures
  • Develop models for client analysis and other business applications
  • Adjusts technical systems to accommodate changes in business practice.
  • Develops interfaces between company and client information systems, where necessary
  • Supports business with requirements for business pitches. This will include proposed structures
  • territories for new teams and market analysis
  • Actively participate in the Business Intelligence team as well as larger Operations Department
  • Flexible hours may be required to cover off­hour process
Job Holder Specification:
  • Graduate level with good numeric and analytical skills
  • Good SQL Server/Oracle, Data Warehouse, ETL, database utilities (TOAD, SQL Plus, Exp/Imp, etc.), Power Point skills and Excel skills (1 to 2 years’ Experience)
  • Experience of: Salesforce.com, Veeva, Oracle on Demand (CRM) or other SaaS Technologies
  • Desirable SQL Reporting Services, Cognos (Administration, Reporting, Metrics Studio, Framework Manager and Transformer skills)
