  • Coordinate and facilitate activities across multiple teams to develop a plan for the support model for cloud-based application trials. This may involve developing new process or adapt/refine existing processes. 
  • Ensure that team’s understands the process for resolution of cloud-based application trial issues.  Lead triage issues, during the various Technical and Market Trials for cloud-based application.
  • This includes working with Production Support team, Business Operations, Technical Operations, Release Management, Market Trial team and development teams to develop and implement processes that would streamline Incident Management.
  • Define, Collect and Publish key performance metrics for Incident Management for cloud-based application
  • Identify requirements for tools, techniques and best practices that could be used to automate key processes, accelerate isolation of root causes, minimizes blind spots and provides management line of sight to status of the issues.
  • Ensure that incidents are promptly investigated and acted upon based on severity.
  • Actively work to resolve issues based on priorities by facilitating discussion and troubleshooting across multiple operations and development organizations and be the voice of the customer and champion resolution of issues promptly, for cloud-based application
  • Become proficient  in  troubleshooting tools like Splunk, pulling logs from the STB, cloud-based application  Scheduler, Recording Manager, and scripting tools like PERL, Python and Sql.   Also provide guidance and support to the staff engaged in trouble shooting issues

Job Description:
Summary:
  • The client is looking for a senior level Data Modeler (DM) for one of the largest Data warehouse platform - BMG (Business Modeling Group).  
  • In this role, the candidate must be able to understand and analyze business requirements, manage the modeling process from conceptualization to logical/Physical model. 
  • This individual will handle and lead the most complex data management initiatives that typically involve multiple disciplines and multiple business groups and deliver the most effective database design and data modeling.
Some of the Primary responsibilities of this role would include, but not limited to:
  • Lead and Manage Design conversations, escalate necessary issues, resolve design conflicts and ensure data is integrated and relatable to other data already on the warehouse
  • Develop and maintain the Conceptual design and Logical Models for the data acquisitions from various applications/sources across the enterprise
  • Collaborate with the other DBA / Metadata team to produce and validate the Logical/physical models.  
  • Provide standards around documenting the conceptual, logical and physical data models
  • Work closely with the internal and external partners on the creation and maintenance of models, data mapping and metadata
  • Partner and consult extensively with Business and ETL developers in the creation of the Data Functional Design and specifications document 
  • Serve as an internal consultant, provide oversight, mentor and lead less experienced DBAs 
  • As a Senior Modeler, consult with EDA/Enterprise architecture and DBA groups to provide strategic design solutions, influencing long-range internal and enterprise level data/ database architecture and data management strategies.  
  • Reengineer the existing data structures to produce data models and provide standards around creation and documentation of Models
  • Convert and maintain existing BMG physical data structures into a model using   Erwin.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 10+ years database design / Modeling experience
Minimum skills:
  • 7+ years’ experience in logical data modeling
  • 4+ years of experience with Financial Industry data and models  
  • Extensive  "hands-on" data model development and change experience with Erwin /ModelMart
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and exhibits excellent initiative, motivation, and desire to learn 
  • Ability to communicate strategies and processes around data modeling and data architecture to cross functional groups and senior levels.
  • Experience and interest in working in fast-paced environments 
  • Team player and ability to work independently in a team environment
Preferred skills:
