Job Description:
Required Skills/ years of experience needed:

• This position fulfills the role of application DBA for a suite of applications implemented with both Java and Microsoft .NET technologies. 
• The application DBA is the application team's advocate for all database issues relevant to application performance and functionality. 
• A solid understanding of database architecture, performance tuning strategies, and troubleshooting techniques is required. 
• The application DBA will work with three primary database technologies: Oracle, SQL Server, and Mongo. 
• The position requires working closely with the database DBAs, advising them on DML, scripting, and tuning.

Requirements:

• Proficiency with DML and scripting for both Oracle and SQL Server
• Experience with database client configuration and tuning from an application perspective
• Independently motivated – able to take ownership of all database issues relevant to maximizing application performance and functionality.

Additional desired skills:

• Experience with Mongo DB – setup, sizing, optimizing, and troubleshooting
• Experience with the Eclipse Java development IDE
• Experience with code configuration management tools, particularly Perforce.
