Production Support/Manager - Philadelphia, PA

Job Description:
  • Strong team player with great communication skills, both written and oral
  • Analytical, conceptual thinker who enjoys solving problems
  • At least 3 years of software development, with applicable Java experience
  • Solid grasp of software fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design
  • Experience with integrating and testing software and systems
  • Experience in production support is a plus
  • Experience with python and other scripting languages
  • Experience using SPLUNK is a plus
  • Experience in Quality Assurance is a plus: test planning, automation, fault isolation, troubleshooting
  • UNIX/Linux background
  • Deep understanding of HTTP, web applications, and service oriented architectures
  • Experience developing with databases; experience with Oracle and/or Cassandra is a plus
  • Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies
  • BS or graduate degree in Engineering, Computer Science
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Incident Management – restore normal service as quickly as possible and minimize adverse impact on business operations and customers
  • Categorize, investigate and resolve support issues and inquiries pertaining to the functional operation of supported applications/services
  • Analyze simple to complex query or data issues and determine appropriate technical resolution or escalation to appropriate senior support teams and/or management
