Job Description:
Summary:

• We are looking for someone who can display critical thinking, is a self-starter and has a good understanding of how data flows through IT systems. The client is looking for a senior level BA local to the NYC/NJ tristate area.

Broad business analyst requirements:

• Elicit, analyse, and document user requirements and business processes.
• Develop functional specification requirements for IT development.
• Define, test and execute the migration strategy.
• Define and implement the framework of first level controls.
• Manage issues and escalate effectively.
• Ensure on-time quality delivery of projects assigned.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams (business groups, IT and PMO organizations) in New York, New Jersey, Montreal, Mumbai, London and Paris

More specific requirements for finance data management team:

• Understands and can document data flow lineage, transformations and usage, including ensuring complete data dictionary, process maps are in place and appropriate data owners are identified
• Understand and perform appropriate data quality assessments and profiling
• Identify lowest level data element required to generate necessary values for reporting requirements
• Remediate gaps between business needs and current available data flows with respect to issues including but not limited to data quality, granularity and sourcing
