Job Description:
  
SUMMARY:  
  • The ETL Developer provides expertise in data mapping from transactional application to data warehouse and creation of Extract, Transform and Load (“ETL”) software programs.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and documenting ETL programs.
  • The incumbent will be responsible for creating and maintaining logical and physical data models using established enterprise tools and best practices.
  • The incumbent is expected to have solid understanding of database design principles as well as database administration methods and techniques.
   
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes that meet project-specific business and technical requirements and those of the overall enterprise data warehouse data integration portfolio
  • Document all processes and support source code control using standard tools and processes
  • Perform transactional applications (source) to data warehouse (target) data mapping
  • Maintain current knowledge of the technology industry, including leading tools and best practices
  • Perform data integrity checks and data validations
  • Assist with ensuring the integrity and performance of data structures
  • Set standards for technical documentation

  • The incumbent must be flexible as there may be workweeks that require more than 40 hours, and/or international travel, to ensure the positions expectations and responsibilities are met
 
 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:  
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field required
  • At least 10 years’ experience in database design and in a diverse technical environment preferred.
  • At least five years of ETL and database development experience required
  • Experience with Informatica, ODI, SSIS or other equivalent ETL tools preferred
  • Experience with Oracle Prepackaged BI Application preferred  
 
ENVIRONMENT:
  • Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. 0-10% domestic travel, and 10-20% of international travel in support of relationship building and collaboration with business teams
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk, and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
