Job Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager to help oversee the project t planning and help lead steering committee meetings.
- Being the single point of contact for a project, interfacing with various groups in Finance and representing Finance throughout the organization.
- Developing a clear vision of the project context and objectives and consistently ensuring that Finance's needs are being well served
- Understanding and communicating the business justification for the project.
- Ensuring effective coordination of all resources involved in a project, focusing in on identifying and managing interdependencies between groups.
- Managing stakeholder expectations, particularly as they impact Finance and ensuring that all groups’ requirements are being met by implementing the solutions we are developing.
- Establishing a schedule that meets the business needs and is achievable by the work streams involved.
- Managing the risks and determining the appropriate responses.
- Communicating the progress, issues, risks, and to the extent possible, budget - to the management team.
- Liaising with the IT and other relevant groups developing solutions.
- Monitoring and controlling the development process and the overall implementation, working with the teams to overcome challenges and meet timely deliverables.
- Coordinating user training to the extent needed for each project.
- Documenting a formal production support plan (including SLA’s); engaging all of the required resources to meet the support objectives of the project
- Acquiring business sign off for the project and ensuring all requirements and functionality have been addressed with the initial implementation or additional phases of the project.
- Prepare a project close process: post mortem, lessons learned to be applied on future projects.
- CPA / experience with US GAAP Principles
