Software Engineer/Node.js developer (Build Experience) - San Jose, CA

Description:

• Design and build tools for Node.js framework- full automation for build replication, node module inconsistencies, npm metrics, traffic and performance metrics., The candidate will be working with the team to help build our toolset. The work of this contractor would be monitored by me and a developer on my team. We expect close collaboration during this period.
• PFDash related metrics collection tooling
• Module info portal across all Node.js apps
• Npm related tooling – searches, usage patterns, notifications
• Node.js build consistency/repeatability
• Module release notifications and Change lists

Required Skills:

• Javascript
• Node.js
• Shell scripting experience is a must. If the candidate has Python or any other scripting experience we would consider that experience.
• Experience in building tools at a large internet company in the bay area is a plus (eBay, PayPal, Netflix, twitter, intuit etc)
